More than half of the $300 million total campaign goal will be used to support the construction of a new hospital and orthopedic ambulatory building and for the renovation of existing facilities — in other words, for transforming the Rush campus. The remaining campaign dollars will be earmarked for other vital needs, including student scholarships, research, and clinical and community programs. The campaign also seeks discretionary, or unrestricted, support, which will give Rush the freedom to invest in new opportunities as they arise.
