The first few minutes, hours and days after birth have a profound impact on health for an entire life. Rush is dedicated to offering women and newborns, especially those who are critically ill, the absolute highest quality care. Our outstanding team of neonatologists and other specialists are available around the clock and actively involved in advancing treatment and research. As a result, preemies at Rush spend less time on ventilators and are healthy enough to go home sooner than babies in other nationally ranked programs.
With campaign support, we will continue to focus on improving quality of life for infants and providing the best care for women, including those facing high-risk pregnancies. The new hospital will feature everything mothers, infants and families need, including special delivery rooms, a resource center for expectant parents, an expanded neonatal intensive care unit and special care nursery, and private rooms that welcome the entire family.
