When making your gift to Rush University Medical Center, you have the flexibility not only to designate how that gift may be used or to direct it to the Medical Center's greatest needs, but also to select a giving vehicle that best supports your personal financial goals.
Unrestricted gifts are among the most beneficial to Rush, as these gifts can be used at the Medical Center's discretion — wherever funds are needed most.
Designated gifts enable you to designate the purpose(s) for which you would like your gift to be used. When you choose where your gift will be directed, you have the satisfaction of knowing that you are supporting an area of Rush that is personally meaningful to you.
Outright gifts
An outright gift is perhaps the easiest way to contribute. Often gifts of cash, outright gifts can be of any size and are available to Rush for immediate use.
Pledges
A pledge is a wonderful way to increase the value of your gift by extending it over a set period of time. One option is Rush’s convenient monthly payment plan — your gift can be pledged via credit card with payments charged each month for one year (a gift of $1,200 would result in 12 monthly payments of $100). The minimum pledge that can be paid in this manner is $120. Please contact Linda Testin Roche at (312) 942-6112 for additional pledge options.Gifts of Stock
Transferring securities, either stocks, bonds or mutual fund shares, allows you to make a gift to the Medical Center and receive a charitable deduction equal to the full fair market value. You also may avoid paying capital gains tax on your charitable contribution.Memorial and Tribute Gifts
Memorial or tribute gifts provide you with the opportunity to recognize and honor those who have had an impact on your life.Matching Gifts
Matching gifts increase the value of your gift through your employer’s matching gift program.
Gifts of Real Estate, Tangible Personal Property or Life Insurance
Non-cash outright gift options still entitle you to a charitable deduction while benefiting Rush's future.
